Welcome to Stockpot Restaurant
Stockpot Restaurant sits on Barry Street in Coos Bay and keeps things rooted in classic American diner cooking. I find a place like this easy to read right away. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu built for comfort, quick bites, and full plates. The price range stays friendly, which fits the local, no-fuss feel.
The menu leans into the dishes people look for on a hungry morning or a steady lunch stop. Pancakes, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, hash browns, clam chowder, and skillet plates all show up in the mix. That gives the spot a strong place on a local dining list for travelers, families, and regulars who want familiar food without a big wait. The pace matters here. Fast service comes up again and again, and that suits the crowd that fills seats during breakfast and lunch.
I also see a restaurant that fits many kinds of visits. Solo diners can settle in. Groups can grab a table. Kids have their own menu, high chairs, and room to sit. Outdoor seating adds another option when the weather feels right. The vibe stays casual and cosy, with a local rhythm that feels tied to the town. There is a clear small-town diner charm in the way people talk about huge portions, fair prices, and friendly staff. It feels like a steady stop where coffee, comfort food, and a side of hash browns arrive without drama.
For anyone mapping out Coos Bay food stops, Stockpot Restaurant earns attention for honest plates, broad meal options, and a warm daily routine. It feels like a place built for repeat visits.

What People Say
Most Liked
People praise the fast service, fair prices, and large portions. Many reviews point to breakfast favorites like pancakes, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and home fries. Chicken fried steak also gets strong notice. The homemade honey sauce gets a special mention too. That kind of detail sticks.
Guests like the friendly staff and the busy, upbeat feel. Families seem to enjoy the kids’ menu, and many visitors call it a solid local find with comfort food that hits the mark. The “little place” feel with big servings shows up again and again.
Most Disliked
The main concern that appears is parking size. The lot is small, and busy times can make arrival feel tight, even when larger vehicles still fit. Sunday breakfast rushes can also mean a wait or a packed room.
Some diners may want a quieter setting or a more modern menu, but this spot leans into diner classics and a steady crowd. That shape suits the place. It keeps the menu familiar and the pace brisk.

Amazing food and great service. We went at 9am was busy but got in right away! They have a home made honey sauce and it was amazing! Great prices as well as good serving sizes! Will definitely be coming back! Did have a small parking lot but we fit a big truck and car with no to much trouble!

What a delicious little place to eat in Coos Bay! We got the kids Mickey pancake, fish and chips, country skillet, and 1/3lb. burger! We are looking to move to Coos Bay so we are so happy to stumble upon this yummy place. Prices are reasonable and it comes with huge portions.

This is a fantastic family owned business. This restaurant does an incredible business yet your food will come out fast and the way you like it. They work so hard in here yet are still some of the friendliest people we have encountered. Their food is delicious. I cant even imagine how many peple they serve on a Sunday morning and do so with a smile.

Truly amazing little gem in Coosbay. If your hungry this is your place. Nice big plates and fresh food. There is always a truck load of people but don't let that scare you off. If there is a wait its short and well worth it. Chicken fried steak was great, bacon waffle was crazy good, pluse they have there secret honey syrup. Hamburger was great. I got the lumberjack it was insanely big and the meat tasted great. If you on the road passing through town, and want something classic but truly amazing then you need to tey them out. As always be kind to each other and happy hunting out there no matter qhat your looking 4.
